Bob Hummel is an award-winning artist that has focused his art ability toward the realistic representation of people and pets.  He is a 1971 graduate of the highly-regarded Columbus College of Art & Design in Columbus, Ohio. As a student, Bob had two of his works purchased to become part of internationally traveling exhibits; one by Wittenburg College, the other by the Columbus Gallery of Fine Arts. Upon receiving his degree, Bob was employed as a Graphic Designer, Illustrator and Instructor at The Ohio State University. He developed and taught many design / illustration courses in Ohio State's College of Medicine for over 18 years.

Throughout his career, Bob proudly received numerous Best of Show and 1st Place Awards. Prestigious awards have been presented to him by the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education, Linweave Creative Papers, Health Sciences Communications Association, Grove City Arts in the Alley, Mead Paper Company, and the Ralston Purina Company, to name
a few.

After 30 years of service, Bob retired from Ohio State, yet continues with his successful art career, specializing in portraiture.
